Natty Kay's exciting, new sound that she has made her own is certain to gain interest from across the world. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that Natalie was always surrounded by different forms of music. Her mother and grandfather are piano-players. Mother is classically trained, Grandfather unique Jazz pianist. Natty kay's Great-Grandmother was a professional opera singer and Natty Kay was exposed to a collage of different styles and sounds all of her life all of which influenced her development. Her first foray into learning an instrument herself came when she started to play piano at 4 years old before finally picking up a singing at the age of 8, a decision which she never looked back from. She then began taking interest in rap and free styling Natty Kay's musical journey began in San Jose,CA . It was here that she developed her musical tastes and interests, and it wasn’t long after picking up singing that she was experimenting with Ballads,Pop,R&B,Rap followed by Hip Hop, all of which have had a profound influence on the direction her musical journey she has taken. Since the age of 16, she began recording with local Bay Area Rap artists. As an R&B and Hip Hop singer she sang with rapper Niamaj for his "Be Real records tour". As her confidence grew and her style developed, she soon saw a loyal following begin to grow and she became a popular local hit in San Jose music scene and appreciative audience. Branching out on her own to come out with her solo EP in 2010 ( Genesis) following with a mixtape ( Not The GIrls Next Door) with Miss Riss a female rapper from the bay area.
