To celebrate the advent of summer, Defcon Recordings brings you their very first sampler release with the Defcon Summer Sampler 2010. Three glorious sun-kissed tracks made as much for the beach as for the summer dancefloor! First up, Petr Lesko and Roland Kempny, better known to the trance world as Spark 7 and Ronny K., team up for their collaborative track Fish & Chicks (Summer In Doksy). This track offers a more laid-back take on their respective styles but keeps with the epic, uplifting melodies that have become their trademark. Up next and ahead of a full original EP, Andy Davies aka Alphadelta offers us a prime taste of his Balearic sun-drenched sound which he does so well. His track Starboard combines a rolling, progressive bassline with wonderful synth-laden arps to produce the perfect soundtrack to a setting sun. Rounding things off comes a new take on an vocal track from summers past. James Alexander originally made Lost In You with Pete Gawtry and the vocalist Julie Harrington, along with numerous remixes back in 2004, only to see it become somewhat of an underground vocal trance anthem. Six years on, James, along with his fellow members of Defcon Audio is reworking Lost In You for a full release later this year with several new remixes too. In the meantime, Defcon protege Jamie Walker's outstanding remix sees an early release by popular demand! All in all this package should contain something for everybody and will hopefully please those summer dancefloors and beach parties very soon!
