PRITA – AUSTRALIAN ‘HIP-SOUL-FOLK’ LIVE LOOPS ____________________________________________________________________ ‘Oh what a voice’ British Urban Review ‘impressive voice’ Will Fitzgibbon, Australian Times, UK ‘touched everyone in the audience’ Lemgo Brake, Germany ‘enchanted the audience from the first beat.’ Dachau, Germany ‘…a testament to why European audiences are sitting up and taking notice of this captivating musician from Fremantle.’ Australian Times, UK “Prita is without doubt one of the finest female singer/songwriters anywhere out there.. Every single track on her album is a gem and she’s just as good live… She’s going to be huge.” Rob Harrison, Riviera Radio – Monaco ____________________________________________________________ As a solo artist, Prita creates her own band sound live in front of her audience.‘with an excellent sense of rhythm, and a exceptional voice she astounds the audience’ Lemgo Brake News, DE. Utilizing a loop pedal, the thing that sets her apart from other singer songwriters is the live layering of her own vocals, guitar and beat-box, seamlessly incorporating many layers of harmonies and vocals into her songs. Drawing from her folk roots, singer songwriter Prita mixes elements of Jazz, Blues and Soul with a little hip-hop to create her own blend of ‘hip-soul-folk’. From her foundation of folk singer songwriter roots influenced by the sounds of Cat Stevens, Tracy Chapman, and Crowded House to intricately layered harmonies, rhythmic percussion, accapella jazz and soul vocals, nurtured by the voices of Whitney Houston, Diana Ross & the Supremes, and Stevie Wonder; and her beat boxing – it’s all made possible with the power and range of her impressive voice, and her talent for rhythmic timing, and perfect harmony. Once you experience Prita’s exceptional live loop show, you’ll be hooked by her soulful rhythmic songs and captivated by her stunning vocal performance. It’s easy to see why ‘European audiences are sitting up and taking notice of this captivating musician from Fremantle.’ Australian Times, UK Inspired by the people she meets while travelling around the world, Prita’s songs tell stories of love and loss, pursuing dreams, tolerance and human interest.
