This album was written for the legalization of marijuana. The first song on the album, Cannabis Sativa was written and first performed in 1976 for pro-legalization rallies. It was first recorded, along with Marlene, in 1983. The other original songs were written in 2010. The song, Obladi Oblada, was included because the members of the band are big fans of the Beatles, and, in fact, consider the song to be surreal and fun. We wanted to do the song in an artistically interesting way.
