The Cripple and the Tramp is David Miranda’s solo project. Previously, he was one of the singers and lead guitarist of the band Nouvelle Cuisine from A Coruña. In his new project, David explores a new sound, which combines the delicacy of pop with the influence of British and American folk, inspired by the likes of Nick Drake, Bert Jansch and Johnny Cash, amongst others. Deep in the Dark is his second album, released in 2012 by the netlabel Discos Perdidos. It is a collection of dark ghost songs and murder ballads. All the songs were recorded between Bangor and Rachub, in North Wales, where he currently lives
