While these ladies came together as strangers, they quickly found out they would be lifelong friends. Tender Mercies looks forward to finding the right male harmonic voices to add to their overall sound. Jenny McKinney began writing music in high school. She was first touched to her core when at 7 years of age, she learned the song "Rainbow Connection." She knew her life would be forever changed. She has written musicals, performed concerts, and overall feels very blessed that God would give her such a powerful message to share with the world, through such an incredible gift. Jenny says, "Sometimes, I hear people say to me, "I cannot imagine being able to 'just' sit down and write a song." I often chuckle because there is no "just" to it. Nearly every song of my 200+ compositions were written because someone went through a major trial in their life. There are stories of feeling like prayers went unheard, stories of homelessness, stories of losing a loved one from illness, depression, or old age. There has been heartache, empathy, pain, and many, many tears shed in order to tell these stories and there are many, many stories. In the telling of these stories through the songs, there are messages of hope, peace, and a reminder that whatever you are enduring, the Lord is mindful of you. He knows you. He loves you. He will not forget you. I hope to be able to bring some of that hope to you, through this music."
