The Poundmaker singers are a traditional style singing group from the Poundmaker reserve in Saskatchewan. This Cree drum group has travelled the United States and Canada. This album was recorded and sung in honor of their late Brother, Devere Tsatoke. He was member of not only the singing group, but also made his home in the community for many years. He raised his family their until he took his Journey in 2011. All the songs on this recording were songs Devere composed and kept on his phone. This special release is an album that has touched many people. Devere is missed by many and will never be forgotten.
