简介
Blow Out Records brings to the center stage the hottest world/reggae and dancehall artist, Mr. Waar. He is not your typical reggae artist from the Caribbean Islands. Mr. Waar is a Lost Boy from Sudan. “Sudan Boys rockin you!!!” as Mr. Waar puts it. Mr. Waar is also known as King of War, King of Warriors, Survival Kid, Crown Ambassador and Warrior General. Mr. Waar best describes himself as…Black African Original Warrior living in Florida, keeping it real like dem boys in Ft. Lauderdale. My quest to express myself musically began in 1988 when I was 7 years old in the year in which I was separated from my parents. A militia group invaded our village and burnt down our homes drastically changing our livelihood. I struggled by myself surviving in the jungle after spending 4 years in SPLA Army. I was helped by one of the SPLA High Commanders. He sent me with other young comrades to Kenya to go to school. In 1993, I resettled in Kakuma Refugee Camp where the UN and the UNHCR provided free food, shelter, clothes and school. This is the year I started my music career by playing one of the African traditional instruments called Thomb. My people were very excited to see a 12-year-old young boy playing this instrument. I was selected to be in a band called Don Bosco Jazz Band where we played in front of hundreds of fans. In 2001 I was called by one of the largest bands in Kakuma called Cush Jazz Band but that same year my flight to the United States came and I resettled in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Waar brings his war mentality into his songs with intensity and conviction. His delivery is strong and shows range with his vocal characteristics. 5 Star rated the best and number 1 worldwide.
