简介
Kristy Karen Smith has a unique voice that has placed her in several popular Seattle Bands from the 90's to the present. These bands opened for major acts including Joan Baez and Roseanne Cash (3 Track Mind), Crash Test Dummies and Little Feat (Billy Moon), second stage performances in concerts featuring Sting, Dave Matthews, Bonnie Raitt, and more (Billy Moon). Kristy appeared as a band member of Mare Winningham in the movie Georgia, and has had original songs placed in an HBO special (Paul Rodriguez, Live From San Quentin), a major motion picture (Driven), several TV shows (Get Real, Roswell) and several independent films. Kristy (songs, voice, guitar, ukulele, piano) currently performs with her husband Steve Smith (drums) in a duo project they've named after themselves: "Steve and Kristy Smith." The two of them also own two music schools in Seattle - the Seattle Drum School of Music (N. Seattle and Georgetown) - where Steve teaches drums and Kristy teaches singing and songwriting. Kristy continues to create songs by listening to her powerful and prophetic inner voice. Her lyrics and lovely vocals manifest hope, joy and humor and touch our deepest emotions and experiences.
