简介

theKI is a Los Angeles-based band established in 2011 that just released its self-titled debut album “theKI” on May 18th, 2014, which was virtually funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign backed by fans and investors in 2013. theKI fuses pop, R&B, jazz and rock with beautiful instrumental arrangements and powerful digital/acoustic grooves to create electrifying, transformative moments of inner reflection and inspiration through introspective and empowering lyrics that draw from ancient spiritual wisdom and modern thought. “Breathe” is a grooving, neo-jazz soul mantra for gratitude and appreciation, while the funky pop jam “Dirty” sheds light on the darkness. “NLF (Nothing Lasts Forever)” casts a kaleidoscope of pop-EDM and R&B colors while working through tragedy towards acceptance. “Power Up” is an unstoppable empowerment anthem for change, and “Let It Go” unfolds a soulful, inner conversation between the heart and mind, leading to a call for peace. theKI is comprised of music conservatory-trained members who have performed with world-class artists that include Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Wynton Marsalis and Yo-Yo Ma. theKI features lead vocalist Roxie Sakura, electric/upright bassist Lucas Francis, keyboardist Antonio Dangond, and spoken word artist Sean Hill.
