简介

""11/12/13" showcases two of today's premier singer/songwriters at their best."--Robert Wooldridge, Country Standard Time "Imagine you're on the back porch, just after dusk, relaxing with a couple of friends. Each has a guitar and takes turns singing songs.... Now imagine your friends are boundlessly talented singer/songwriters Kieran Kane and Kevin Welch, and you've got the idea of 11/12/13."--Country Weekly "This cozy collection brings together 13 tunes by two men better known as songwriters than performers. It also proves that Kane and Welch are underappreciated for both of their talents."--Dale McGarrigle, Bangor Daily News "It is an incredible collection and a fitting document of the intensity these performers generate whenever they perform together."--Dale Martin, Victoria Advocate ___________________ Kevin Welch's poetic songs paint pictures of real people--people you know, people you've seen--so clearly that you realize quickly he's a keen observer of the human experience. His songs have an almost film-like quality in their vision and beauty. After growing up in Oklahoma, Kevin moved to Nashville in the late 1970s. Once in Nashville, he became a songwriter for Tree International. His songs were recorded by such artists as Moe Bandy, Waylon Jennings, Roger Miller, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, The Highwaymen, The Judds, The Kendalls, Patty Loveless, Reba McEntire, Charlie Pride, Ricky Skaggs, Pam Tillis, Randy Travis, Conway Twitty, Don Williams, and Trisha Yearwood. Kieran Kane's music is adult in the truest sense of the word. His explorations of mature love (The Blue Chair's "Honeymoon Wine"), friends' struggles with personal difficulties ("Kill the Demon" from Six Months, No Sun), and the meaning of life (Shadows on the Ground's title cut) lead directly to his philosophical explorations of faith and life in much of his music The maturity is not surprising; Kieran's been a successful Top Ten solo artist, a member of the duo The O'Kanes (with Jamie O'Hara), with whom he had six more Top Tens and received rave reviews, and a successful songwriter (he wrote Alan Jackson's huge hit "I'll Go On Loving You"). Their recordings are popular around the world, with solid followings in Europe and particularly Canada and Australia, which each of their tours is greeted with sold-out houses. One of those tours, to Australia in 1999, was captured in the live recording 11/12/13: Live in Melbourne.
