简介
Gozzy is a Bajan reggae artiste with rich vocals and strong inspirational lyrics. He is a rare find in the Barbados landscape and is therefore emerging as part of the island’s small, exclusive club of singjays with an authentic reggae sound. His unmistakeable vocals is a standout feature of his music, even within the mainstream reggae context. Gozzy has now released his 14-track album debut entitled “Redemption Music”. The name of the album is reflective of its main “Redemption” theme and highlights Gozzy’s obvious command of strong soul-searching messages using the spiritual influence of roots reggae that appeals to hardcore reggae audiences. Gozzy music is strengthened by the character of the man behind the music. Gozzy’s display of family values and his Christian foundation are evident in his lifestyle. He therefore stands tall as a motivator on and off stage and is a true champion of the messages in his music. Review Snippets “Redemption Music is an album that should be added to any reggae collection. With all due respect to Barbados’s many notable reggae stars, Gozzy has surpassed the best of them with his debut album REDEMPTION MUSIC." - Stephanie Chase (former Miss Barbados World and entertainment enthusiast). "Upon hearing Gozzy for the first time you immediately think about artist like The Marley’s: Bob Marley himself and his son’s Damian and Stephen Marley, also bands like Christafari and Benjah & Dillavou come to mind. But even after making these comparisons it’s clear that Gozzy is no copycat and has his own signature sound. With that being said, this album doesn’t only boast of great production and nice reggae melodies, it also has great lyrical content." - Kevin Pinder (Radio DJ) " I spent some time reviewing Gozzy’s album Redemption Music and let me tell yuh, it NOICE; it BADD; it SWEET. This is indeed a beautiful album. It has all the components to do well: Strong clear vocals; soothing and thought provoking lyrics; flavor, variety and uniqueness in the production; rhythmic, musical and moving music..." - Corey Worrell (blogger, musician and newspaper columnist)
