When Hip Hop artist Fred Lewis was first introduced to music he found out instantly that he had a love for it. Fred Lewis was born in Alexandria Louisiana with music flowing through his blood. As time passed music became more and more interesting and a major factor in Fred Lewis's life. He began playing the keyboard for church around the age 12 as Fred was discovering that he had a talent. Beats is what Fred started out making until one day he picked up a pen and wrote his first verse. Lyrics started coming from everywhere in him along with beats and it wouldn't stop flowing. That's when Fred realized he was made for music. Hip Hop became a major part of his life as songs were created and produced by him at the age of 14. Now it was time to develop a name. Starting out Fred Lewis called himself Lil-C where the C stood for his childhood nickname (Champ). As his career started to move off of the ground Fred decided why not just be himself which is Fredrick Lewis. As the progressing artist thought more about the name it finally hit him. Fred Lewis was born and considered his permanent artist name. Fred sold his CD's in High School which he attended at the time. It was a great turn out which motivated him to keep going as more music was created. -Music is what i love and when i'm around it i feel home. It's not just something to dance to, It's something that can deliver a powerful message. It flows through my blood and i wouldn't have it any other way, he says.
