Wall Matthews is a guitarist and pianist who has been making atmospheric New Age sounds since he recorded with the Entourage Theatre and Music Ensemble in the early 1970's. Now he creates beautiful chamber music works. After being invited by John Diliberto to bring his ensemble to perform on Echos Sonic Seasonings in 2012, Wall was so pleased with the results, he decided to release the recordings, along with some new studio cuts co-produced and recorded with Kevin Packard in 2013. Star of Wonder is a follow up to The Heart Of Winter (re-released as Christmas Guitar), a perennial holiday favorite of Christmas guitar music. This new recording features Wall on guitar or piano, along with Kevin Packard on mandolin and accordion, Adam Gonzalez on cello, and Bob Spates on violin and mandolin.
