简介
Elegante & La Imperial is the project of Peruvian musician Daniel Martinetti, who began his musical journey around the year 2000 under the alias of "Elegante", initially focusing himself in a style closely linked to IDM, Ambient Techno and electronic music. In 2004, "Elegante" releases his first electronic album, giving this way a new start to a series of sound experiments, constantly looking for a more interesting area in which to develop. This is how after many years of career as a prominent musician and dj of electronic music in Lima, "Elegante" decides to go further and begins with the experimentation of fusion between native rhythms of his own country, such as Cumbia, Marinera or Afro Peruvian music, with rhythms that he already knew and mastered, like House or Techno, among others. So is "Elegante & La Imperial" born: a project full of new rhythms and new genres, such as "Afrostep" a fusion between Dubstep and Peruvian rhythm ‘Landó’. From his research with Peruvian and Latin cumbias came the track “Piensalo (Culo)”, which has become an anthem in the dance floors of Tropical Bass parties in Lima, frequently played by many djs and producers of this movement. Elegante & La Imperial is one of the pioneers of the new sounds in Peru. He has contributed greatly and from the beginning in the development of this growing movement, always with an impeccable quality on the production of his tracks. In this new album, released under the label Auxiliar, Elegante & La Imperial gives us a 100% original production, with a style that is perfectly well balanced between the House and the Cumbia. An organic sound, a fusion of experiences, stories, the union of a sound without defined borders. "El Sonido de las Lobas" [AUX005], is accompanied by the video clip of the single "Puro Comer" directed by Mikael Stornfelt, who also directed the video "Simiolo" from Peruvians Dengue Dengue Dengue! (2012). The official release of this album will be on Friday August 15th at the TOMA! party in Lima, produced by the Auxiliar Collective, and will be presented for the first time in band format, with vocals, guitar, bass and drums live.
