Jeff Lane is the musician and songwriter behind The Lane Project. Based in Los Angeles, he has gathered an extraordinary group of musicians to record and perform his music. The first featured song is "Moments Of Mercy" sung by Kevin Campos.

Jeff has had a unique journey. After having a single released in the 1960's with the "Blue Chips" (on a subsidiary of legendary Buddah Records), Jeff played lead guitar in a number of bands in the New York City area. Jeff's band played at New York's "Cafe Wha?" while an unknown Jimi Hendrix was doing the same. Then it was on to "My House" on Long Island, where an unknown Billy Joel was the keyboard player in the house band, the "Hassles". Jeff's birthday is October 9. So with a middle name of William, he shares a birthday and all initials with John Winston Lennon. A detour into law school in the mid-1970's led to Jeff's obtaining a law degree. Now he was writing in two very different styles - legally and lyrically. In the last decade the music took over and the results are here.
