简介
The One and Lonelies By combining a powerful, distinctive voice with haunting, 60-inspired melodies, The One and Lonelies (featuring members of Denney and the Jets, Nite Nite and Dixie Whiskey) create a Southern-infused sound that is equally at home in the speakeasy over a whiskey or in the backyard with a beer. All three members of The One and Lonelies grew up in the South, respecting its diverse musical traditions. Singer Chelsea Marie was raised in Nashville, where her father first taught her to play guitar as a child by finger picking “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” She started writing songs and playing live shows at the age of 15, and released her first live album with local label Spat Records shortly thereafter. Guitarist and vocalist Matthew Brown was raised in Middle Tennessee by a Baptist minister, and his time spent learning church spirituals as a child served as inspiration for his soulful blues-inspired sound. Matt has done time in numerous Nashville bands over the years and has often been called upon for vocals during "cover nights” of artists like the Stones, The Kinks and Ray Charles. Lead guitarist Cotton was born in Mississippi and started playing music when his father talked him into being a child Elvis impersonator at the local biker bar by owned by his family. Upon moving to Nashville, Cotton was quickly recognized on the local music scene for his skill in the sound and style of iconic Delta blues.
