Sergio Pires is a gifted Brazilian songwriter, singer and guitarrist who has been living in Chicago for the last sixteen years, where he produced four Cds mixing his musical influences from Bahia with jazz, funk and rock.

Umbigo was produced by Brett Simons and Sergio Pires in 1999.
