Eric St. Michaels USA/CH Situations and conversations that emerge out of a working class life are mostly the subject matter of Eric’s songs: Bringing an original mix of Rock, Country & Pop with a modern groove to 100`s of towns and cities around the world both solo and with his band has given Eric’s career a troubadour-like foundation. “I have a deep respect for music history, but this has never kept me from embracing new developments. I think that this has given my music a contemporary feeling backed with substance.” Taking the sound out of his head and bringing it to life has always been the thrill of song writing and Eric’s driving force. Eric tries to be inclusive in sharing that sound with the listeners. Even if sometimes he has to announce to his Audience “Here comes an experiment!” With the release of his first solo album “Rise” on BMG / CH in “98” Eric found that making the journey from “Singer in a band” to “Solo Artist” was not easy: “The common bond and support that comes from five guys sharing responsibilities now looks like a luxury. Building up enough belief in one’s self to take on the task of living as a solo musician can be a big challenge.
