In My City was written for the city of Boston after the marathon bombing and fuses the tragedy of the marathon with strength of the city's response. Liz Mitchell is uniquely positioned to write about these events by being a songwriter who is also an Emergency Physician. She was stationed at the medical tent at the finish line of the marathon and can be seen on news clips running into the site of the first bomb, to help the injured.

In My City features Liz's clear vocals, moving lyrics, and soaring melodies, accompanied by a rich string quartet sound, to bring sorrow and strength together in a very personal tribute to the city in which she lives.
