My Attorney’ I wrote this song after years and years and years of people pleasing and always CARING what people thought of me. Whether a lot of you know it or not, I grew up in entertainment and I really believe that it somehow made me confident and self conscious all at the same time. My first voiceover was at 6 yrs old for a talking doll and was a child model/actress in the South.Then, the first man that was ever to love me (my dad) abandons his wife, my brother and myself when I was 8! These turn of events i thought had ruined my life. It destroyed what confidence I had and I ALLOWED IT!…NO MORE I am at a point NOW, and where i hope that we all can get to is to realize that the pain, the hurt, the abuse endured throughout our life makes us stronger. I have learned to harness the positive out of the negative and use as a strengthening guide. You know that whole phrase “If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain, and so on and so forth, it is true! In my latest song ‘My Attorney, The hook can be interpreted however, but the line “looking out for me” is basically saying..I’m not gonna compromise my character for anyone, ANYMORE, I’m gonna live my life with CONSIDERATION of others, not the APPROVAL of others! I have been used BEFORE, but NEVER again. I will always be CHARITIBLE, but never taken for a fool by anyone….NO MORE The Anthem ‘My Attorney is relatable to everyone…someone once said ‘everybody plays the fool’…My Attorney says ‘NO MO! *IN MY SOUTHERN ACCENT*
