Singer/songwriter Stacia Petrie has been performing solo and in bands in the Detroit area since 1993. She has released three CDs of all original material on the Cosecha Sound record label. Her first two releases (Sessions from the Mission-1995 and A Milestone a Minute-1998) have received ample praise and recognition. The Oakland Press and the Mirror of Royal Oak both highly rated her debut CD. "Stacia presents a credible and mature effort," wrote Patrick Chimner of Common Time Music Magazine. "Stacia has a strikingly fine voice and uses it to plead for positive change." Barbara Scott of the Blues Review wrote, "Stacia's voice quality is astounding in both its clarity and sweetness of tone and her tunes, as she performs them, convey a rare sense of honesty."

Other honors include being nominated for Best Blues Songwriter in the Detroit Music Awards, as well as a 1998 New Folk Finalist at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville, Texas. Her original music can best be described as a modern blend of acoustic-based rock and blues, with innovative lyrics that embody a fresh perspective on imaginative, vital themes. Her live shows include seasoned, accomplished musicians who back her powerful, heart-felt delivery of a novel collection of carefully selected covers and original songs.
