This album was created in a day - live, and full of palpable raw emotion. A few days after the death of my daughter I assembled a cast of trusted musicians and went into the studio on what would have been her birthday and sang my heart out. We tracked 15 songs in four hours - each song recorded in one or two takes and selected to convey aspects of love and longing. These 12 songs are offered to you to listen to in your reverie. BIO Appeared in local theatre musical productions playing Adelaide in "Guys & Dolls", and Penny in "You Can't Take It With You". Started singing with Lansing area trios in upscale restaursnts, country clubs and arts venues. She has appeared as a solo pianist, and in ensembles from duos to quintets. Performances included the Michigan Festival, Lansing Riverfest, MSU Museum Jazz functions, Two Doors Down Art Gallery, Lansing Old Town Jazz Festival, as well as researching MI composers of popular music and presenting programs of MI music in schools and colleges. Made a recording of 9 Michigan tunes titled MI Collection Volume 1. Her development as a free style jazz songstress can be credited to Dr. Fred Mitchell, Jr.who created such gorgeous harmonies and chord voicings, and introduced her to a whole new world of beautiful songs. He emulated the jazz stylings of Bill Evans and she often uses Dr. Mitchell's arrangements.
