Lirica is a collaboration between vocalist Lindsey deRutte and musician, songwriter John Davis who met playing traditional Italian music. The lyrical quality of that music inspired the six songs on the EP "Lirica". Drummer Jim Castrone plays on most of the tracks. All of the other instrumental tracks and the mixing were done by John while Lindsey sang all of the lead and backing vocals. The songs are in a Folk/Rock or Alt /Folk style, with acoustic guitar, accordion and mandolin being prominent. The emphasis in the songwriting is on the melody and in trying to capture an emotional story via the words and the melody.
