Woodford Line is a semi-acoustic music duo comprised of husband & wife, Jake & Janette Vohs, often joined by good friends on stage and in the studio. Jake & Janette have been playing in bands together since 2000, however this is the first band dedicated to their own songwriting. The name Woodford Line refers to the Woodford County Line, which lies in the couple's home state of Illinois. On the North side of this line, Janette was raised taking classical piano lessons at a young age and excelled at it. On the South side of the line, in the next county, Jake grew up playing drums and keyboards while jamming in bands. Even though it was only a ten minute drive between their childhood homes, they never met until college. In college (both studying piano), they were set up to meet by their piano teachers, and they have been together ever since, marrying in 2005. Both musicians have played actively their entire lives, thus music is what defines Jake and Janette and their journeys in life & marriage.

The band, in its current form, is a culmination of the past bands & experiences the two have had, as well as the effort to bring the music home. In the studio, the originals are nostalgia of the radio, music and good times growing up in Illinois; mixed with heartache. Having been in Massachusetts since 2003, the couple bring a touch of the Midwest to the East Coast. They do this as a duo most of the time, however the album and some shows have a backing band. Woodford Line's debut single "It All Seems the Same" launched August 2012. The debut album of the same name released June 10th, 2014. It took 2 years to complete as the band slowly built a recording studio. The band hopes to get right back to record a second album. "It All Seems the Same" enters the marketplace on the "PitchPipe Records" label.
