Rocketships sound can be best described as alternative hard rock with the occasional acoustic twist. They have drawn a major influence from artists such as Foo Fighters, Deftones and Stone Temple Pilots to name a few. Highly energetic instrumentation mixed with equally intense vocals provide a strong presence both live and on record. Flip the switch and it's a whole other story. Somewhere, within a sea of pounding drums and static guitars, lies the odd acoustic jam. All songs are entirely self produced at drummer Erik Gurney's studio in Windsor, ON. Their self-titled release 'Rocketships' was released early 2013 and is the first of many to come.
