简介

For more than 10 years of existence, Morgana vs. Morgana has been constantly working in the shadow of what was happening in the rest of the scene, while peer groups would release albums with the support of record companies, specialized media and the public. Morgana vs. Morgana had to make do with self-publishing several demos, one EP and their debut album "Hipnoterapia" (Hypnotherapy) which, due to lack of distribution and advertising, was quite unnoticed for most of the followers of the Spanish rock-metal scene. Now, almost three years after "Hipnoterapia" (Hypnotherapy), they return to the self-publishing with "Nébula" (Nebula). In this album we find a more mature band, with much clearer ideas. While there are no major changes in his music (the influence of Tool is still very present), you will notice an important compositional development between this album and his previous one, and especially a greater connection among all the songs. That evolution is appreciated when we listen to "Nébula" (Nebula) just a couple of times. The album is much more coherent than the previous album and the songs fit perfectly with each other. It is essential to listen to it from start to finish to understand its greatness. The album opens in an excellent way, with the theme Angelus, which begins with a gentle pace and a great melody to go up gradually, and ends up with an explosion of energy. This formula can be found in Teólogo (Theologian) and ...Y perder (And Loosing), both exceeding 6 minutes, which keep you all the while attentive, waiting for that final outbreak. Orquídea (Orchid) is also one of the best tracks of the cd, with a well defined base and riffs, reminiscent of Dredg. They develop the 6 minutes which lasts until it comes to an end with guitars full of effects and a constant rhythmic base. Other tracks such as Mi herida (My Wound) or Nébula (Nebula) are more direct and represent the most aggressive moments of the album, with an instrumental part very intense and full of small details. By the end of the album the band keeps two of the best tracks, on the one hand Y en la ignorancia (In Ignorance) a song that lasts almost 11 minutes, where Carlos Pagola shows a variety of vocal registers followed by a precise musical execution. On the other hand, the album ends with Mi prisión (My Prision), a song with a fairly epic sound and a spectacular ending. Also it is highlighted the artwork, a digipack designed by Vicente Santiago, singer of their countrymen and fellows El Agente Naranja.
