Born and raised in the streets of east Detroit, rapper 20/20 emerged.From the beginning he was a hip hop purist. Being raised in such harsh surroundings one might think that 20 was a hardcore gangsta rap fan but, he makes it known that his influences would differ from that sentiment. "The Beastie Boys, Big L, Andre 3000, and Slick Rick are my biggest influences." 20/20 stated in a past interview. Combining his quick wit, filthy sense of humor, and real life experiences 20 definitely stands out from the rest of the pack. His "My City Screamz" mix tape was released to digitally, and was well received abroad.Though he has been compared to hip hop heavyweights Eminem, Jay-Z, and 50 cent, 20 has a sound niche and lane of his own. His gravelly voice and slick delivery masterfully compliment the hard guitar, and heavy baseline on his album "Ambitious & Vicious'" opening track "Too Much To Lose". "Ambitious & Vicious" is a must have for any hip hop fan. The subject matter ranges from the extreme paranoia that Detroit's streets force 20 to carry with him, to his love for alcohol, strip clubs, and his favorite...fire arms.
