Josephin Shlomit Madden (writer and singer of her old bands JO and the MFers and Sonic Bomb) combines a booming mix of arena rock (like ACDC, Guns and Roses, Rolling Stones, The Boss) with infectious 70’s-80’s Punk (such as Cock Sparrer, Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Clash) with soul influences (Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Howling Wolf). That big stage Rock meets ANTHEM Punk with soul influences sound is something new and exciting. It is explosive, heartfelt, impossibly infectious and EMPOWERING. Experience: Josephin’s experience ranges from soloing in her old school’s gospel choir, starring in dance recitals, being the front women and soloist of 2 ensembles at the New England Conservatory. Former bands which she has founded, fronted and wrote for: JO and the Mfers, Sonic Bomb and now JOSEPHIN. Josephin was part of Dropkick Murphy's music video "Going out in style" in Jan 2011. And did backing vocals on their album Sealed in Blood in 2013 and Warriors Code in 2006. *She also starred in a music video of a Boston’s all-star Motown band Soul City.
