The Temple University Wind Symphony, under the direction of Arthur D. Chodoroff, is comprised of a select number of advanced music students. With repertoire including the finest wind literature, concerts regularly feature internationally known guest soloists. In addition to this recording, the Wind Symphony was selected to be one of six university concert bands in the United States to record a CD for the Masterpiece Series of recordings released on the Toshiba-EMI label. It has also released a CD under the Albany label featuring the music of Rimsky-Kosakov and Karel Husa. The Wind Symphony has performed by invitation for the Eastern Division of the Music Educators National Conference and the Eastern Division conference of the College Band Directors National Association. Its 2009 performance for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association marked the 6th invitational performance for that conference over the past 25 years.
