Anyone who declares Pop music as simple would do well to listen to John Hull. While not necessarily revolutionizing the genre, the group adds a much-needed kick of honesty to the genre. This Odessa, MO native attended Missouri State University as a Music major but graduated with an unrelated degree. Despite this, he still felt the urge to pursue music so, one fateful August day in 2004, he packed his bags and headed to California to continue his music career. John has recorded two demos at Stepstone Studios in San Diego. The demos could easily be passed off as EP’s…they’re that good! Both demos contain Pop songs with strong R&B and Jazz influences. This is no surprise at all as John draws upon influences as diverse as Michael Jackson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Roots and Led Zeppelin. He calls Southern California his home, but music has given him the opportunity to travel all around the states. Although this is Hull's freshman attempt of a full production album, he is proven himself an accomplished singer/songwriter and will be around for the long haul.
