简介
As I release my second album it is with satisfaction and great expectations, says David Seiving. I have come to love these songs and hope that you will enjoy them too. There is so much of me in there - from the joy of finding a great melody, through writing lyrics that are more than words, to the creative process of crafting ideas into finished music. Although I wrote, recorded and played everything myself I took some help with the final mix and the end result makes me very proud. Some of the songs, David continues, mean something really special to me. Take "Rescue the Earth" for example. You might find the climate change to be a worn subject, but it woke me in a new way recently that led me to write this song. The state of the Earth demands our attention and if my music can help in any small way it's the least I can do. There are also songs that continue to explore the human condition, says David. I watch with sorrow how many young girls feel really bad in today's society. Charades are no solution and instead of hiding behind a mask I hope, in "You're Not For Sale", that more of them would just be themselves and be proud of it. I am really glad to have my dear friend Johanna Svensson join me in a beautiful duet on this one. When asked about the title track, David Seiving explains that "The Walls We Live Within" is another observation that he gladly shares. Many relationships mean living within the same walls but staying strangers. Without communication and a truly shared life relationships stay too weak and risk breaking unnecessarily. Another angle on the relationship theme, though not the romantic version, is the song "(Let Me Share) You", says David. Meeting new friends is often the result of someone introducing you. I read a chronicle about this and it had me pondering. I realised that being generous with your friends is a true joy bringer. I love people, and when a loved friend befriends another of my loved friends it makes me very happy. As you might have understood by now, how to live in a relationship and to help others in their relationships is a passion of mine, David exclaims. That is probably also the reason that I can never stay away from writing love songs. A couple of the songs on the album are songs inspired by or dedicated to my wife. It feels appropriate to close the album with a duet together, "Simple Words".
