This song was inspired by a TV documentary about Joni Mitchell. In it, she was described as being like a "River Stone". I couldn't let that one pass... The waltz with the song is a piece I wrote about 24 years ago. I felt it married perfectly to the song. I hope you enjoy :-) Andy Dunne.
