Formed in 2003 and reconfigured in 2005, Violet Island creates intelligent music and lyrics with hints of pop, jazz and many collective influences ranging from Peter Gabriel to Alanis Morissette to Sarah McLachlan and many others, resulting in a unique and artistic sound. The group has featured many talented musicians in the past. The new crew brings a solid, ecclectic and ethereal pop/jazz sound that will make audiences both "rock" and reflect. (But not reflect on rocks, that is our hope).  Music is one of the best ways to communicate the complexity of experience. It merges the heart and the intellect. It brings us closer.
