简介
Jeremy Hartshorn is a worship leader and songwriter hailing from the island of Kauai where he leads worship at Kauai Christian Fellowship. At age 18 and under the influence of bands like U2 and Toad the Wet Sprocket, Jeremy wrote his first song "Maria" It was about a young runaway he had spoken to while volunteering on a youth-crisis hotline. Lyrically, the song acknowledged the inherent pain of the human experience but was still full of hope and encouragement. This has become a hallmark of many of the songs Jeremy has go on to write. Musically, his timeless guitar-driven sound is at once both familiar and fresh and fits nicely into the alt-rock set. Vocally & melodically, Jeremy’s clear & earnest tenor regularly earns comparisons to artists like Bono, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Tom Petty, and Jeff Buckley. "Rocks Would Cry Out" is a collection of Jeremy's recordings from the last 10 years. It includes cuts from the early Solomon Porch days as well as songs from the short run and rare Convoy EP of 2005. Many of Jeremy's songs are being sung at churches across the US and continue to get picked up by worship leaders looking for new material.
