Opening with a delicate, plaintive melody, Nomic's 'Extinguish' carefully moulds layer upon layer of sound in a track that sets new standards for emotional freeform. Piano melodies dance between soaring strings while trademark Finnish synths, sweeps of sci-fi and a driving kick burst into life, roaring towards the first of two ethereal breakdowns. Typifying the Nomic sound, a piercing lead lends a vicious energy to the track, writhing between the piano and the return of the initial theme.
