Alec Shaw is a musical collective started in 2015 by musician and songwriter Alec Shaw. Writing music along side his lifetime friend Suzannah Fiskum, he put a band together after finishing his debut album “Car Town”, a first look at Alec’s unique sound and vision for the Seattle based indie rock band. The band has a tight bond with the Jazz horns players of Central Washington University and the pop/rock and indie styles of the artists local to the Seattle area. The signature sound comes out in the first album, but even more so a staple of the 15 track sophomore album “Uhh Oh and the Ohh Wells” released in summer of 2017. The album features new songs written by Alec Shaw and Suzannah Fiskum, that carry the maturity of a well developed and unique set of musicians with it. With a band of 8 and contrasting influences left and right, the sound will have a little something for everyone while staying true to the roots of Alec’s songwriting, stemming from artists like The Beatles, John Mayer, and Young the Giant. Over The course of the album creation there were over 25 local Seattle musicians who's voices or instruments were recorded to make up the various tracks.
