I wrote this tune after listening to Prince for a good month. I was turned on to Prince at a young age but never actually "got it" until recently. Then it clicked and I listened to everything of his. Marvelous. I hadn't written too many dance tunes, one which was arguably house, but I wanted some 80's style dance groove. Simultaneously, I suppose not coincidentally, my 80's dance moves became over-developed and I was soon enough throwing my body here and there in a rush of sheer excitement and joy. This tune has a good chuck of awesome groove to it but I can do better. That notwithstanding- enjoy- and tell your friends :-)
