简介

‘RearView Mirror’ is Heartland Rock: think Bob Seger meets Mary Chapin Carpenter. The music is inspired by the folk sounds of Emily’s New England home, the rock and roll of America's heartland, and a touch of country-rock from living and recording in Texas. This record makes great road-trip music. With 'RearView Mirror’, Emily joined the ranks of songwriting legends like Carole King, Ani Difranco, and Shawn Colvin by recording with producer-engineer Mark Hallman at the Congress House Studio in Austin, Texas. Two songs from 'RearView Mirror' (‘I Bet She’ and ‘Quijote’) earned West Coast Songwriters Association 'Best Song’ Awards and sparked Emily’s commercial radio play debut in the San Francisco Bay Area. The song ‘Feel No Pain’ inspired a San Francisco Bay Area production team to select Emily as their new music video company's featured artist. Emily's diverse background provides a wealth of experiences that inspire her storytelling. Emily released her first album of original music 'Beginnings' while attending the University of Notre Dame. Following college graduation, Emily certified as a US Army Airborne Paratrooper and served as an Army officer around the globe in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Texas. Many of the songs on ‘RearView Mirror’ were written during this chapter in Emily's life. Most notably the song 'Land of the Morning Calm' captures the heart and soul of a service member while living through a challenging assignment overseas. During her Army days, Emily continued to write and perform her music at USO shows whenever possible. After completing her service obligation, Emily settled in San Francisco. In the song "Opportunity Knocks" you can feel Emily break out in a new direction as she jumps on her Harley Davidson Motorcycle and travels west to California to pursue her musical dream.
