简介
"Nothing left 2 Write" is best described as an Ecclectic blend of Rock and Soul, with an unusual twist on blending different genre's of music into one. Producer and Brainchild of the album, D-Linz (Former Engineer for Prince) describes the project as "something that just needed to be heard and shared" "When I first started this project, everything was just a culmination of instrumentals and occasional vocal features. I had no clear cut plan on making a full album from the collection of tracks which actually spanned from over years of pulling material from "The vault". Over this time, I was pulling older ideas and then blending them with new concepts and was just creating a very cool and ecclectic sound. One of my main concepts for the project involved using live instruments to play where the singers would traditionally sing. This created a vibe very close to artists such as Ronnie foster, Quincy Jones and Donald Byrd. The twist behind the album is that nothing is clearly the same across the board". D-Linz, who is a multi-instrumentalist (Piano, keys, guitar and Bass) put all these elaborate skills to use, which helped created the expansive pallet for which he is very well known for within his music circle. "nothing left 2 write" is truly worth every listen. from the harmonic laden and heart felt vibe of the first cut "They said", to a straight rock edge anthem in "Despite" to the adults only interwoven chill duet in "Mood", this album is certainly worth the cost of admission.
