Back in early 2015 I was involved in a project with fellow musicians Tony Testa and Erik Mowery. "We Are Here" was an original composition of mine but as we recorded it became a collective effort. The collective recording had more of a fusion influence within it but after a few of years I wanted to record the song as I heard it originally. What you hear is my final version. I say that because out of admiration and respect to Chuck I wanted to make sure he would have been happy as well. I ended up with four or five unique versions. Now what? Well, pulling from emails, conversations I took his input and now feel I have achieved this. As Chuck would say "wishing you Peace, Love and Sophisticated Jazz Harmony". Sums it up nicely.
