With a distinct style and unmatched sound, Alycia Miles has never needed anyone to tell her where she fit in. She perfectly intertwines her unique vocals with her own blend ofR&B melodies and Hip-Hip beats. Her sound is a journey that takes you to into new territory, but leaves you with something familiar. As Alycia would say, “My music is a true reflection of who I am, inside and out and my inspiration is life – my own, and the life all around me.” Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Alycia never shied away from her gifts or hard work. “I believe that you can’t truly love anything until you break it down to a science. Each element of my music is painstakingly pieced together to form a whole.” Painstaking is an understatement. With her own songs on her own dime, Alycia released her debut album, “The Awakening” in 2008, followed by the popular “E.P.iphany” in 2010 and the upcoming release of “B.efore E.verything T.urned”. Her live performances set her apart from other artists as a force in the entertainment game, garnering features in The Houston Press, The Houston Chronicle, and the cover of Against the Grain Magazine. She’s performed on NBC’s Clash of the Choirs sharing a stage with recording artists such as Grammy award winners Patti LaBelle and Michael Bolton, along with Kelly Rowland, Nick Lache and Blake Shelton. She was featured on BET’s 106th & Park, opened for rapper, Lil Flip, and toured with soul-singer Leela James. Her command of the stage,however didn’t go unnoticed. After being named one of the Houston winners of Andre Harrell’s Super Star Soul Search Contest, Alycia caught the attention of Mr. Harrell who introduced her to multi-platinum, Grammy production team Carvin Haggins & Ivan Barias (Musiq Soulchild, Justin Timberlake, Estelle, Chris Brown, Ledisi and the list goes on). Where she completed an album on the Ethical Music Entertainment/ Forever Music Label. Since then, Alycia has worked with and for a number of artists, including, Robin Thicke, Raheem Devaughn, Brian Courtney Wilson, Bria Marie and Dallas Blocker, showing the world her lyrical and vocal prowess. Alycia is currently preparing for the release of the R & B Spotlight mixtape which features her song, "I Blame You" produced by Carvin and Ivan for Ethical Music Entertainment and working diligently with UK DJ/Producer Chris Samba. She also recently completed her E.P., “B.efore E.verything T.urned” with production team Analouge Escape. Alycia is known for sharing every experience with her audience, and they love her for it!
