This project is the materialization of a lifelong love for music, a cultivated love for worship, a dream of one day creating an album, and 3 years of writing, re-writing, organizing, re-organizing, adding, removing and re-adding the songs that would form the first full-length, cohesive album. The ten songs that make up "awaken" are very raw - they came straight from my heart- sometimes birthed out of a place of desperation, and sometimes out of love and gratitude for what God had done in my life. Ultimately, I really feel like there's a huge need for God to be accurately represented by and to His people and to the world. This album not only gives a glimpse into my heart, but also into the heart of God - for the people He created, and for the relationship He longs for us to pursue with Him. The album was recorded, mixed & produced by Kenny McWilliams at Archer Avenue Studio, in Columbia, SC. It was mastered by Dave Harris at Studio B, in Charlotte, NC.
