Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Connie Olson began her career as a lead singer in many of the areas top local bands, performing various styles of music, including rock and roll, rhythm and blues and jazz. In the 1980's, she moved to Los Angeles, where she attended the Dick Grove School of Music and worked many of LA's top venues, including the Disneyland Hotel, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and the Ritz Carleton Hotels. Connie has performed in countless clubs and concert halls around the globe with many of the world's top musicians, including the Bill Molenhof Group, the Peter Duchin Big Band, and the Peter Graves Orchestra, as well as musicians from the Manhattan Transfer, the Brian Setzer Orchestra, and the bands of Prince and Madonna. Connie's voice has been heard on countless radio and TV commercials as well as the theme song for the TV series "The Action Family." She's been featured as both a lead and a background vocalist on releases by the Musicland and K-Tel Corporations and on Prince's debut album. Connie was recently featured on "Ultrasound", the newest CD by Matt "Dr." Fink, former keyboardist for Prince's back-up band, the Revolution. Connie's new CD "Daydreaming" produced with keyboardist Benny Weinbeck in Minneapolis, is a tribute to singer Doris Day that features songs from her classic 1964 collaboration with Andre Previn. Connie currently is working on a CD project with Beach Boys keyboardist Tim Bonhomme in Los Angeles.
