Monteloco aka It’s Loco Baby...Star latin Hip-Hop recording artist, producer & live performer from The 805, Oxnard California. With over 15 years expierence, Monteloco prides himself in combining catchy hooks & lyrics with hard hitting beats for the radio & the clubs. Some say he has the laid back style of Cam’ron, the seductive vocal swagger of LL Cool J & the commercial appeal of Baby Bash, either way Monteloco is a one of kind talent. He was born in Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. At 13 he was the 1 Freestyle BMX bicycle stunt rider in California. “I started rhyming in the 10th grade after listening to Mellow Man Ace, Kid Frost & Lighter Shade of Brown on the Radio.” Early influences include, The Large Professor, GangStarr, Ice Cube & Cypress Hill.” At 18 he recorded his first record, produced by childhood friend, international Hip-Hop producer, Madlib. In 2000 he released his first full length album “Retaliation”, on the 1st Chicano Rap music label, Familia Records. “Reataliation” featured production from Edward “E-Dub” Rios & vocal appearances from platinum recording artist, Mellow Man Ace, considered the God Father of Latin Rap & gold recording artist, Down aka Kilo. In the same year he recieved his Bachelor of Arts/Graphic Design Degree from the California State University of Northridge. In 2001, the song “Lap Dance” produced by The Earthquake Institute, gained Monteloco regular rotation on the ground breaking radio program “Pocos Pero Locos The Network”. Resulting in Monteloco becoming the first artist from his area, “The 805” to sign a major label deal & release “Keep On Look’n” with Thump Records/Universal. “Keep On Look’n” included the song “Playa Poppy” produced by & featuring, BMI award winning, multi-platinum, writer & producer, Stocks McGuire, credits included Dr. Dre & Nas. In 2004 Monteloco joined forces with Silent Giant Entertainment to distribute his 3rd offical Album “Obsessed”. “Obsessed” included the singles “Girlz Nite Out” featuring platinum recording artist, Lina Santiago, produced by LITO Beatz & Sean Cruz, Cruz credits include Dr. Dre & Eminem. Also included was the hit single “Drinkz Up” featuring Lorence Michaels, produced by Javie Lopez, credits include Omar Cruz & Ese Daz. In 2007 Monteloco releasesd direct to iTunes “PlayaPapi-EP” that included “LowRider Truck” produced by LITO Beatz, “Hot Mami” featuring platinum recording artist Lina Santiago, produced by gold certified West Coast super producer, Fingazz, credits include Roscoe, Lil’Rob, Mr. Criminal & Down aka Kilo. PlayaPapi-EP also included vocals & production by the uniquely talented Paul Dateh. In the same year Monteloco was featured on the song “Grind” by RikRaf Entertainment on “La Coasta Nuestra” Compilation, Machete/Universal. “Grind” was produced by platinum producer & song writer Jeeve, credits include Carlos Santana, Tupac, The Game, & Rigo Luna. Monteloco is currently working on his new album titled “PhotoShop”. “PhotoShop” will feature production by LITO Beatz, LITO Beatz & Fingazz, Kamoflawge Beatz, & Krys Productions. “PhotoShop” will feature guest vocals from Fingazz, Damizza, Mr. Shadow, Rigo Luna & Project Caliber, Big Smooth, Nanette, King David, Chase One, Flow & Gracie Marie.
