简介
1.) Thinkin’ bout You - After seeing the movie “Fire Down Below” and being once again entranced by Rita Hayworth’s ‘don’t hate me because I’m beautiful ’ look. Written from Jack Lemon’s point of view. 2.) Lonely For You -The working title was First Blues. This song is actually the first song I ever recorded. Age 15 ? I discovered a 50 second snippet on an old cassette tape and thought hey, that’s not bad. 3.) Pugnucklin’ - Several years ago I read a news story about the heir to a famous blues musician's legacy being found. I imagined the legal proceedings and what the courtroom testimony might have been. The word is from Faulkner. 4.) Here With Me - My sultry soul hit recalling one morning awakening in an empty bed. I chased Amtrak across two counties to get the train sounds. 5.) Is This Love? / This Is Love - My most ambitious work in terms of multi tracking. A lot of ping ponging on my reel to reel. I was impressed by the high production value of some of the pop music coming out in the late 80’s and tried to imitate it in my own limited way. 6.) If You Love Me Too -This song came to me in a dream. The British Invasion in Rock and Roll music. - so very much a part of my youth. 7.) When You Lie - I believe every song writer has at least one Heavy Metal song in their head. This is mine. It’s about frustration. Nuff said. 8.) Winter Of My Strife - While driving from Oklahoma back to North Carolina. It had just begun to snow as I was leaving Tulsa. Feeling kind of lonely, I started writing this song. 9.) Rats In The House -A lot of odds and ends came together to make this piece. I couldn’t stop laughing. 10.) My Old Friend - I wrote this song in the pangs of grief after losing my best friend. I love you Sonny. recorded in The Addition, Chatham County, North Carolina
