#TeamMosha is a of two well-known Pretoria DJs who are also a vocalist and producer when they are not behind the desk making people dance. The Djs are Mpho Coty Talana aka Shuffle Muzik and Mantshane Malala aka MRD (the new age Mawillies). The two met in 2012 at a gig and became good friends, but only decided to start working together in December 2016 – with Shuffle Muzik as producer and MRD as vocalist. Even though they both grew up in Mamelodi ,Pretoria , their roots are in Limpopo. Shuffle Muzik is originally from Ga Marishane , Jane Furse while MRD has roots in both Hammanskraal and Monyaneng next to Boyne. Team Mosha is currently working on their album which is scheduled to be released before the end of this year. Senya Retla Patela is their first single, and it has taken South Africa by storm already. MRD “The New Age Mawillies” MRD story is that his late mother used to be a backing vocalist and dancer for Brenda Fassie and Danny Kamazu. “When I was still young I used to travel with them to the gigs. I think that’s where my love for music and stage started from and I became a dancer, said “the New Age Mawillies”. His mother also started a dancing group for young kids named Uhuru Dance Club. She entered the group for Yamaha young talent search which was hosted at carnival city and they reached the finals. In 2011 MRD started his journey as Deep Soulful House DJ. Together with another Deep Soul house Dj , Smudi they collaborated to cause havoc on the dance floor. Shuffle Muzik Shuffle Muzik is a former junior professional soccer player that played for several PSL teams like Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, Supersport academies. His name Shuffle is the name he attained in the field because he used to play like Jabu Pule. Shuffle gave up his professional soccer player dreams when his then mentor, Bra Collen passed away, he says he used music to deal with his situation. The self-taught producer started spending more time in his bedroom studio. He later teamed up with his childhood friend DJ Jagu to form Maftown Boys, together they produced several local hits that were popular around Mamelodi and Nellmapius. Eventually they decided to part ways and concentrate on their solo careers. The Group is worried about their music being pirated a lot on the street before they release their up- coming album.
