Born in Israel and raised on the traditional path of Yoga, he was initiated into his mantra and named Narayan Jyoti by his master, Swami Vishnudevananda at age 4. As a child, practicing yoga as part of the International Sivananda Yoga Centers, he was exposed to many great teachers and healers of different modalities and paths. Most influential were meeting some of the great master-musicians of the Indian and Jewish traditions. Unity in Diversity and Non-Violence were the basic teachings that he received, which influenced him greatly in his work ever since. At age 14, Narayan Jyoti made his residence with his mother at the Sivananda Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas. He spent 2 years there, flying in and out of the ashram, spending time in other ashrams in North America. At age 19, he received his official training as a yoga teacher. Loka Samasta Sukino Bhavantu- May the whole world live in peace and happiness. With Love & Gratitude to the divine within you.. IHS Narayan Jyoti
