Wes Joseph was born with the heart of a worshipper. His style, his music, his entire life even is based on giving God the glory and honor that is due to Him and Him alone. His love for Jesus Christ shines through the songs that he writes, many hearts are blessed and souls are lifted up as his message of surrendering takes hold of their minds. Coming from a background of poverty, violence and hardship, writing music has always been his escape from reality. Initially dabbling in writing poetry, Wes now writes songs about the love of Christ, always keeping his past afresh in his mind as he moves forward into the future. Why is that, one would ask? Because he knows that some of the best stories or songs came from hardship, and some of the greatest artists all at some point had to give all the credit to God for their triumphs in life. A lot of Wes Joseph's early career was spent in the music industry working alongside some major artists, which helped him to develop his current style of music. As he recalls, the industry was where he saw a lot of his old poems turn into great music. However, being raised a church boy, he eventually walked away from the music industry and his chance to enjoy success in that realm. He relocated from Brooklyn New York to California where he returned back to his Christian roots. Teaming up with the late Olivia McClurkin, and learning from living legend Andrae Crouch, as well as many others, Wes spent the next few years sharpening his musical skills, by writing songs and leading worship services in many different areas. After working on many projects over the years he has finally decided to pen his very own story in song. Digging deep into the chest of memories in his mind has allowed him to tap into the purest form of worship that he could find. The first single Fly Without Wings is a song that he wrote while at the lowest place in his life. When asked to reflect on that song Wes says "I will never forget the dark place that I was in emotionally, mentally and most important spiritually. I was alone, with nothing to show for the life I lived. It was a place that no man could have helped me to get out of, and for the first time ever when I realized I needed God to show up more than anything else, He did". Never forgetting the love that Jesus has shown him, Wes Joseph is on a worldwide quest to spread the love of Christ to anyone who will listen. His message is not geared towards one audience, it is not only for the rich nor for the poor, it is not a message only for Christians, but also for non-believers, as well as anyone who God would have him minister too. Living each day as his last and going where ever God leads, Wes Joseph will continue his mission with no intention to rest until he hears the heavenly words of our Father, Well Done.
