The main body of the album was recorded in Ashtown Studios with some tracks revisited in the Cauldron Studios. With Shane's influences including Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Tom Waits (to name but a few) a minimalistic old school approach was taken when it came to recording the album which gives it a slight Americana vibe.

The album was produced by Shane Martin and co-produced by Tommy O'Sullivan who also took on engineering duties. Later into the recording, Shane was able to call on the musical expertise and direction of his good friend / Irish music legend - Terry Woods. The album was mastered by Tim Martin who also remixed a selection of tracks before recording was completed.
